the What and the Why

I never pay for patterns. Why should I? With such incredible databases at our fingertips like Ravelry and even Pinterest, there are so many free options available. I seldom stick to an entire pattern anyway without deviating in some manner - intentionally or otherwise. Beyond that, I love playing around, inventing new things, and letting my creativity run with it. For those of us who have been crafting for a long time, there's a certain intuition that comes with having experimented with string extensively. That's why I've elected to provide free patterns that are really more like guides than strict rules to follow.
I'll provide a framework from which you can build custom fits and styles that will best suit you and the materials you're working with. The first piece I'm putting together is a simple cable pattern that will be easy to adapt to a variety of projects, yarns, and needle sizes. While this first series will consist of knitting patterns, I'll be delving into some crocheted works in the future as well, but I'll be sure to keep you in the loop!
